Pirate Ship Lunch and Drinks in Side: What Is on the Table
Lunch is the part of the day nobody has to pay for twice. Drinks are the part everybody should plan for. Here is how both work on each pirate day.
In short
Both pirate days include lunch in the fare. On the pirate-ship day it is a kids' menu of spaghetti, chicken fingers and fish fingers; on Little Pirates it is children's favourites served on board. The pirate-ship fare includes no drink at all — every drink, soft or alcoholic, comes from the bar on board. On Little Pirates, lunch is included and extra drinks are not.
The menu on the pirate-ship day
Three dishes are on record: spaghetti, chicken fingers and fish fingers. It is food picked for children who have spent the morning swimming and chasing a pirate, and lunch is served to the whole family as part of every fare.
Grown-ups who want something more than a children's plate should know there is nothing else on record. Snacks beyond the lunch menu count as personal spending, paid on board. The day itself is on the pirate-ship page.
Lunch on Little Pirates
Little Pirates serves lunch on board with children's favourites. Its record does not name the dishes, so neither do we. What we can say is that it is in the fare, for children and adults alike, and that it comes during the cruise, between the games and the coast. The Little Pirates page has the full day.
Why no drink is in the pirate-ship fare
The operator keeps the fare to the things every family uses — the transfer, lunch, the entertainment, the face painting and travel insurance — and sells drinks separately at the bar on board, alcoholic and non-alcoholic alike. A family that drinks little pays little; a family that wants a round of cold ones pays for exactly that.
We do not print bar prices because none are on record. Bring euros in cash, in small notes; card payment at the bar is not on record. Everything that costs extra is listed together, and the prices page shows the fares.
On Little Pirates the record lists "extra beverages" as not included. We say only that: the fare covers lunch, but not extra drinks.
Planning the day around lunch
Lunch comes after the morning on the river and the swim at the delta, when appetites are at their peak; on Little Pirates it is served during the cruise. A small breakfast at the hotel and a bottle of water in your bag for the drive keep the morning easy. Whether you may drink from your own bottle on board is not on record, so ask us if it matters to you.
Allergies, diets and fussy eaters
Nothing on record covers vegetarian, gluten-free or allergy-safe meals. Should your child have an allergy or follow a strict diet, put it in the notes field when you book, or ask us before you reserve; we pass it to the operator, who decides what can be done.
For a child who eats three things and nothing else, the pirate-ship menu is at least known in advance. A small snack from home in your bag is the parent's insurance for the hour before lunch. Tell older children the menu the night before; a known plate is half the battle.
